Don’t Wait; Act – is our initiative to re-start routine, non-COVID testing in the NHS for patients with long term conditions or who have new symptoms that could be caused by issues such as cancer, undiagnosed diabetes, heart disease and who could become unintended victims of the pandemic.

The initiative needs to be poised and ready to start as soon as the current lockdown eases and NHS capacity recovers but for that we need your support! We are engaging the London Agency to help produce initial collateral for our campaign which members can use and we will be reaching out to partners in the patient charity sector, the pathology professions and other medical associations to join us as well as the imaging industry association AXREM and PAGB’s self-care resource for patients. But we need your support too – particularly in data to show how routine tests such as HbA1c, cholesterol, FBC and PSA have fluctuated over the past year. Other analytes welcome!

Any date used will be anonymised and will be converted to percentage terms – we would not be using data on sales value or test numbers directly and where we have data from more than one source we will average it out. Please contact Doris-Ann directly asap with any data you may be able to provide.
